It focuses on a couple highlight videos where Watkins' elite "ability" is apparent. But we knew that about him coming into the draft already anyway. We know that about a lot of players that come into the draft with elite ability and never deliver elite production in the NFL.
What those videos don't show, and what people tend not to including in highlight videos, are the over 50% of his career starts where he does virtually nothing, has less 50 yards receiving. They don't show any of the evidence that is relevant to explaining why he's never really had elite production even when healthy even though he clearly has the ability.
81 complains that risk analysis isn't done properly apparently because he thinks it should be more anecdotal than comprehensive. And those that see trading a 2nd round pick plus young starting CB for a player with elite ability that's not had elite production and has struggled with injuries as inherently risky are doing so based on the full data-set, not selective parts of it.
