Well again, I was never predicting that the road to glory has just been paved. As another poster mentioned, and a point I happen to agree with, there are many factors that could go wrong along the way. McVay has much growing into this job that is just going to have to happen. Injuries could happen. North Korea could drop a nuclear bomb. Lots of things could happen, one way or the other. I'm not trying to predict the future. I get that negative possibilities exist. I also am of the opinion that this FO is not as totally incompetent as many hand-wringers would like to make it out to be. Does this trade absolve them of past flubs and transgressions? That's not at all what I'm saying, so please stop trying to paint me into that corner. I like that this FO is trying to get this right. I like that they are taking some swings at the ball and trying to move this team in the right direction. When they gave Fish an extension, I was pretty beside myself at the fact that this FO
didn't get it. I'd have to say that since the end of the season, in my view they assessed the situation and have made a pretty big reversal and are making what I call some pretty positive moves. That's all I'm saying. Whether they work or not is for the future to decide. I plan on enjoying the ride.
