42 minutes into the latest 10 Things podcast from MMQB, Andy Benoit said that when DB coaches were preparing to face Britt, they essentially only practiced defending the Go and Deep Comeback routes, because on any other route he was simply not a threat. Additionally, these two routes don't play significant roles in the timing based offenses that McVay and Lafleur come from in WSH and ATL.

Because of Woods' versatility and the above reasons, signing Woods over Britt was a no brainer for the Rams.

Interestingly, given all that, it's a testimony to Britt that he caught that many and got those yards then.

They were working hard to take away what he did best, and he had either a #2 caliber qb or a very green rookie, and even with all that combined, produced at a decent rate.
