Re: CLEARLY two things!

Your second point is of course true but on that one the sail is not behind your back. However, you are right in my opinion. As the size, speed, and strength increases There will continue to be an increase in life altering injuries . I heard an x professional player once say "In a sane world the game would be illegal". But then again they would likely have to ban boxing as well.. But I can't think of any sport that has such a myriad of life altering injuries. Boxing main danger is to the head. Football its your entire body including your head. It's not just the CTE stuff either. With the nature and effect of the other injuries in football the usual thing a player can expect is life long pain from sever arthritic joints, et. With exception of court you just don't see that in basketball, baseball, track, skiing, swimming, golf, etc. I have gotten to the point when I see a violent collision I do NOT want to see the impact repeated on tv. Yet they make highlights of these "hits" and people love it. We love the macho culture associated with the game. We love our gladiators and wish we could be one.

Maybe we're all just a little insane.
