Since I had a torn ACL/MCL in my early playing days I follow all the latest research on the subject.
I've talked with LADOC (huge Rams fan who some will remember) and Drs at Kerlan-Jobe about the subject.
My mother won't go to any other facility other than Centinela and their ortho dept is one of the best in the world.
Based on everything I can gather obviously the structural make-up of the joint is being compromised.
I shutter to say this but I have to question his rehab of the surrounding knee joint muscles through weight training and proper conditioning activities that progressively adapt the knee muscle, tendon, and ligament structures to the types of activities it will see during competition.
Kerlan-Jobe do service the Rams but I dunno if they have performed any of his surgeries.
Their rehab program is top-notch!!
