I don't think it has anything to do with the number of snaps. Easley has an injury history. In 2011, at Florida, Easley tore his ACL. He missed 2 games in 2012. He tore his ACL again in 2013. The Patz IRed him in 2014, then did it again in 2015. 2016 was his only full season, college and pros combined (though he wasn't a starter).
