Whitworth is 35. He will hit the wall soon. Sullivan is injury prone and it's not known if he can hold up over an entire season. The other guys are the same, just shuffled around. They signed a number 2 type receiver in woods. And drafted 2 guys in the 3rd and 4th rounds, not exactly impact territory unless u get lucky.
I was replying to droopy's OL comment, FG.
Let's see...
They hired Kromer as new OL coach.
Signed Whit for LOT. Admittedly he's 35, but he's also a multiple Pro Bowler and still playing at that level. Should be fine for a couple of years, anyway.
ZN has already addressed the Sully health issue. Btw, Sully is one experienced and football smart mofo.
Hav is now healthy.
Kromer likes Hav and Brown better at RG and RT, respectively. Plenty good enough for me.
Sooooo...
Saffold is the only thing about the starting OL situation that has NOT been changed (upgraded?) from last season. What more could we expect from a staff trying to resurrect a back to back league worst O?
As to Woods, I think that you're underestimating him in this McVay O.
Unfair to criticize them for not making a good O pick in the 1st round for obvious reasons, btw. They had to play the hand that they were dealt, after all.
Don't know about you, but I LOVE the Everett and Kupp picks for this new McVay O.
I suspect that you will feel a whole lot more comfortable by the conclusion of the last PS game.
