There was something *very* telling that came out in that interview.
I would be interested to hear what people took from it.
First of all, thanks for posting that, la. I loved it.
As to your question? Lots of things popped up, I think.
Goff was known to be a long term QB, but would require development. (Why they thought Fisher could provide that development, I'll never know).
Goff was tough and never went into a shell during very difficult times.
Goff is football oriented first, last, and always. Not interested in golf or partying.
Goff was willing to drop everything to meet the new HC candidate.
Goff and McVay impressed each other from that first interview.
Snead wanted to see if Goff and McVay were simpatico.
Snead stressed the importance of instincts and quickness in evaluating prospects.
Snead stressed the importance of getting the right kind of players for a given system of the coaches.
Tremendous value is in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
Sometimes players that are not athletic freaks learn to compensate in other areas (Kupp).
GM's can't draft scared. Gotta trust their evals.
Snead now seems more comfortable in interviews.
Like I said, great vid and thanks for posting, man.
