LMU93
I still have skepticism that Barron can be an effective 3-4 ILB but we'll see what Phillips does. I just think it's one thing to have him play WLB in Williams' 4-3 and another to play in this defense (especially vs the run). Ogletree and Barron are both excellent 'chase' LBs but playing point-of-attack vs. an inside running game is going to be interesting to watch. They do have Brockers in front of them which helps.
Understood, 93.
We both respect and trust Wade a great deal. He's earned it, that's for sure.
But that doesn't mean that there aren't still a couple of questions remaining about certain players in his projected D for this season.
Quinn (mostly his health)
Barron
Webster
NRC (at slot)
These players will carry a few nagging doubts into opening day until they erase them with their play and scheme fit, at least for me. But if they do excel, look out! This D would then have the potential to be a monster.
