Just my opinion at this point...
- CB is the position where the cupboard is projected to be the most bare.
- They need to find a LT of the future. Maybe as high as the 2nd round.
- Both starting safeties will be UFA but I think at least one gets re-signed (or maybe an extension before this season starts). Neither should cost a ton- then again I said that about McLeod... And they drafted Johnson, so maybe they let one walk. But then again, maybe Johnson is developed into a CB for 2018 instead.
- There will be holes/questions in the defensive front 7. Easley and Westbrooks both UFAs at DE. Though I tend to think they'd sign a free agent there. Do
both Quinn and Barron perform well enough in the 3-4 to return at high cap #s? Does Barwin return? I think they have several possible starting OLB candidates on the roster but one way or another the defensive front seven will need some restocking.
- Center could be a need depending on how Eldrenkamp and/or Blythe develop. A 3rd/4th round pick here could make a lot of sense.
- I'd really love to see the Rams not have to invest any picks in the top 3 rounds at QB, RB, WR or TE next year. It will push really good players at these other positions down to them.
I'd love to see a draft something along the lines of:
1- CB
2- LT
3- DE
4- C
5- CB
6- ILB
6- RB
7- OLB
