There's no denying he was their most productive WR the past 3 years and he had some very good games- @Detroit last year was probably his best. 1,000 yards is 1,000 yards. But I do also believe they won't really miss him and it was right to let him go. He lacks the intangibles you want from a veteran and not a cultural fit for what McVay wants. Plus the much more complex scheme required some heady receivers (ie Woods and Kupp). Their passing game as a team can and should be noticeably better than 2016 (how can it not...) even while probably not having a 1,000 (or even 900) yard receiver.

I also just can't shake that image of Britt and Quick flipping the golf cart on Hard Knocks and then smiling about it after like the guy in Stripes being told there isn't a draft anymore....

I think Woods is capable of 70/1000.

But another way to look at it is, what was their WR production like last year and can it be equalled or bettered.

Leaving Tavon out of it...because I don't count, or count on, Tavon as a regularly productive pure WR, I think of him as a multi-weapon who threatens to score every play. IE I look upon anything Tavon adds as gravy.

So just looking at the top 2 WRs last year, it was Britt with (targets/catches/yards) 111/68/1002, and Quick with 77/41/564).

So they need to replace 188/109/1566. (Or better still, 188/122-27/1566

Do they have 2 guys who can add up to that? (Obviously there will be more than 2, and TE production too, but...just looking at the top 2).

So among the following do they have a pair who (combined) can replace and chances are surpass that production? The likely candidates being Woods, Thomas, Cooper, Kupp, Reynolds.

That is you don't really have to just replace Britt. Is there a pair of WRs who combined replace Britt AND Quick in terms of production?

I think yes, but, that's a hunch/guess, not a psychic reveal. cool smiley
