But I've watched Snead for 5 years, admittedly via interviews that I've seen and read.
Snead is not particularly well spoken. He kinda stutters at times. He's certainly not a commanding TV presence.
But, I don't care. Seriously, I don't give a rip. His responsibility is to identify and rate the type of football players that his HC desires.
I think he does a pretty danged good job, tbh. Best since the 70's with Klosterman, in fact. Despite being hampered by Fisher. Hampered because of the restrictions imposed by the type of players that Fisher demanded, AND being overridden by Fisher at times because Fisher had the occasional "hots" for certain players.
Can't prove the Fisher "hampering", of course. Just using my common sense, I guess.
But I do know this. Demoff was in a unique position to observe both Snead and Fisher regarding personnel recommendations for five full years. And Snead was retained while Fisher was fired. Don't need to be Colombo to conclude which man was making the better decisions and recommendations, do we?
Let's see how this Snead/McVay collaboration works out. I sure like the early indications. How about you?
