If he got the hire right with McVay, in fact, we're in for what might be a really nice run.
And re: Snead I'll throw this out there... As maligned as he is, the guy had no part in the Fisher hire, but he was instrumental in this one. So in the event McVay is as good as many of us (and I include myself here) think he is, it will likely mean Les rises in the organization with some real GM power. And Demoff would slide back up to what he's good at, which is overall administration of the team and it's resources (which includes other things like stadium, and selection and building of what will hopefully be a world class practice facility) and general cap management.
I actually like Demoff. He's not a football guy per se, but he's also not a guy like John Shaw who doesn't know that he doesn't know.
Everything hinges on McVay and how they handle him as he learns on the job. Be patient and grow the guy into a great head coach, then sit back and enjoy the fruits of it IMO. Granted, I am sure some will chime in that Goff is the key, but that's only true in terms of how high this roster can climb in the short term. If McVay needs to reload the QB position then we have the right guy in place to do that.
