Strange. A GM is a key part of the day-to-day running of a team.
I said he appeared. He did. He's in there. More toward the end but he's in there.
I also said that the Rams didn't edit this so their ideas are not reflected in the story. That's up to the producer and directors and so on. They had 2 big stories they were watching---Fisher and the move.
Plus Snead never was the Overlord style of GM. The term "GM" doesn't mean the same thing on all teams. Sometimes he's the key figure, the way Polian was for example. Sometimes he;s basically the chief of pro and college scouting and gives advice. That's what Snead always was. Even with McVay, when Snead has on-paper final say over draft picks, he plays the role of the chief of scouting and consensus builder who aims to give the coaches the kinds of players they want. That's probably his chief role with the team.
If I were doing a show and had to choose between following Snead around as he watched tape and chaired personnel meetings with the scouts and coaches setting a board, OR covering both the effects of the move and of the firing, I would figure the 2nd choice made for better tv.
To me that's just not a commentary on anything regarding Snead.
