They wouldn't get much in return on him in trade, if it were to happen it'd be a late round pick to some team and probably a team that would not be able to get him on waivers if the Rams cut him. Rams would also pay most if not all the cap hit, too.
Why would another team do it? Well maybe they think the Rams are stupid and want to try him at OG. Maybe they would be interested in him on the waiver wire and want to get a look at the guy, which for his raw talent wouldn't be too crazy. There aren't enough guys of his size and strength out there, and so many teams have needs on their OL why not throw a late round pick to the Rams for him.
IMO they'll wait until camp though. Get the pads on, start hitting, and see where the OL overall is at. If it's in a good place and GRob's not running second string, dangle him before you cut the guy and see if you might be able to recoup a ham sandwich.
