I readily admit I held out hope for him until last year. I gave him 3 years. It's done.

I gave him his full 3 years, but it just hasn't worked out. And I don't expect a miracle at this late date, either.
It seems to be a between the ears thing. Not saying he's stupid, but more of a reflex thing with some hesitancy resulting from lack of confidence? I dunno.
It's a shame. He's such a gifted physical specimen.
So many unknowns when drafting players. Sigh...
