Goff was buried on the depth chart last year from day one. He didn't get a lot of snaps, but he's getting them now.
Look at McVay and this staff and it's probably not a mistake that there's only two QBs who are getting tons of snaps. And of the two Goff undoubtedly is getting most of the preparation and focus. So I think it's realistic to expect him to make significant strides, because he knows the speed of the game and it's not like it would have been hard for him to get his hands on WCO material that is 80% or higher accurate in terms of what McVay is going to bring in. Basic concepts are still in place with that offense, and I'm sure he had film on the redskins' and maybe even the Bengals' (Gruden) offenses and watched what they did.
I don't expect him to be an elite QB, but he should pretty quickly start spreading the ball around and show week to week improvement. With that and with what will hopefully be a good defense who knows where this team will end up.
