Ok, here's a seriously gifted athlete in Austin.. no denying that.. He's played football probably his entire life.. How hard is it to run patterns as a WR? Is it not something like run 10 yards this direction, turn right run 5 yards? I mean, that's simplified.. I know he's got to get off the line and gotta split zones and whatnot, but seriously - does it take a rocket scientist to run precise routes?
I mean, I understand he's NOT running them now.. I just cannot imagine why.. not disciplined? When the ball is snapped he brain farts? Can't count yards while he's running? Doesn't know left from right?
He's so small that he can't get around defenders once they make contact with him. His game has always been based on running free. He has to rely on clean breaks off the LOS to have any chance for success on a route. And, to complicate matters, his hands are not that good.
