One of my good friend worked on the LEM in Bethpage, NY for Grumman, before he came to Sikorsky. He had lots of good stories. All those guys retired over 20 years ago. I started college with a slide rule in 1970 and finished with an hp35 calculator in 1972. When you did so much by hand you were forced to develop better judgement in your analysis. I finished my career as a Tech Fellow mostly because I did so much by hand over 35 years.
