Before her education career even began she was an engineer for TRW systems and worked on the Lunar Module designed to land on the moon and return to the Apollo spacecraft. She had a clearance from the Dept. of Defense that was so high it did not have a name. Much higher than the AEC clearance she already had. She couldn't-or wouldn't -talk to me about what she was working on other than generalities. I wouldn't have understood anything she said anyway. (Still don't !) She was part of the same secret space program that the non-fiction book "Falcon and the Snowman" and resulting film came from.
