Nice story and that tells you the quality of individual the University of Wisconsin saw when he was hired as A.D. as I recall.
Old school football great of course but evidence of much more.
As GM of the Rams for 60's era. ...gotta credit him for scouting and acquiring Deacon Jones, Merlin Olsen and Roman Gabriel
