I don't think I'm assuming.
I'm responding to the often criticized decision not to draft OL when our OL was poor last year. I'm comparing that with multiple picks at WR/TE.
Granted, I don't go into comparisons of talent available at either. I don't follow that stuff too much. But the point is that the FO clearly targeted WR/TE while deciding to try to cover OL with a couple of FAs, at least 1 of whom cannot be regarded as part of any long term plan.
Anyway, it's just an attempt to read the strategic direction of decisions made in line with what we know of young McVay. And I promise nothing either way. I dunno and I don't believe anyone knows.
