I'm not a GRob apologist, I'm not even particularly optimistic about his chances of having the light bulb come on this year as a right tackle (the quote above about needing the new staff to motivate him is troubling no doubt). I do, however, recall more instances of continuous pressure coming from the right side last year than from the left-- the Atlanta and second Arizona games stick in my mind when Beasley, Chandler Jones and Calais Campbell were constantly in our backfield coming from the right
And I don't mean to dump on Havenstein. I like him too, the dude can move people in the run game. I just think his skill set will play up on the inside where he doesn't have to handle people in space. The vitriol for GRob is a bit too harsh IMO. He's definitely been a disappointment so far, but how much of that is draft slot as opposed to "horrendous" play. He's made a few hair pulling plays no doubt, but he's also never had a DE abuse him to my recollection (feel free to correct me if I'm forgetting) and does have legit tackle ability. The fact that he gets first crack at right tackle by the new coaching staff supports this a little. They'd never consider it if he was half as inept as some people claim
