You just let the draft come to you and draft Odell.
It's all pretty easy to trash what the Rams have done, but the funny part to me is that you think these players would have had such dramatic results on this team. My perspective is that their personal results would likely have concluded just as they have, and it was less the team that drafted them as much as themselves affecting the result. I guess in your mind's eye, if we'd have drafted them we'd have ended our non-playoff streak and these guys would be super stars now. I used to post this when you were on your Sammy draft posts that this was his future, a good player stuck with a crappy offense and rotating QB situation, but that ended up just playing out somewhere else.
None the less, that played out.
Hopefully the team that gets him next year has a great QB and the playbook that gives him what he needs to succeed. And hopefully he stays healthy. One thing you shouldn't hope for is that it'll be here.
