He blitzed from the Mike position and he played in coverage.
I was obviously wrong on the timing of him playing with Wade but he's a very similar player.
and then leave it. If they move an OLBer to inside so he can blitz, fine, they may do that to mix things up. But if you watch the film he's an OLBer when they are in a 3-4, both sides and a DE in nickel/dime, both sides. He's an edge player. Maybe because if his speed or skill they moved him inside for a few plays and then he rushes from there does not make him a Mike or Mo. It's just putting a good athlete in a place where he maybe can surprise someone.
Heck, Tennessee moved Leonard Little to MLB due to injuries to others but then rushed him a lot...but he wasn't a MLB projection. But a handful of plays as an inside linebacker as a wrinkle does not make him a DeMeco Ryans-type.
All you have to do is look at the film. He's an OLBer in a 3-4 (plays both sides) and a DE (and played on both sides) when they are in a 40 nickel/dime.
He even lines up as a DT once in a while, does not make him a Warren Sapp-type. Even so, lining up as an ILBer once in a while does not make him a "DeMarco Ryans" who will challenge Barron or Ogletree.
Might be better to just admit you made an error.
