No way we're the Niners taking the QB and no one was going to move up for a QB to block the Bears....
They got fleeced by a rookie GM to move up one spot for someone who was 99.99% going to be there at 3 anyway....
They're getting killed on sports talk radio and twitter right now and rightfully so.
If a staff drafts a Top 5-10 QB it's simply a matter of getting the right QB for your team. If he is the right QB, no one cares what you gave up, if he's not they don't care that you stayed put at #3 for him. The Bears wanted Trubisky, now all that matters is if he's the right QB for them.
They were completely bluffed.....the thing is though is that they could have had him easily without giving up a ham sandwich, let alone two 3rds and a 4th.
NO ONE was moving up for this kid, no one.... Silver was just on and said the Browns were never in the trade up to two game.
Lynch- "hey John, we're thinking about taking Trubisky......do you want him?"

The draft is the ultimate game of poker and the Bears just got bluffed by the new kid at the table.
Cleveland easily could've made the move. Trubisky fits the Andy Reed mold better then Mahomes so the Chiefs are another possibility.
And at the end of the day they did what the Rams and Eagles did last year...to much praise. They targeted a QB they liked and made it happen
Thing is, the Eagles and Rams had to move up to get their guy, the Bears did not....the Eagles and Rams had 1% chance of getting their QB at the spot they were at, the Bears had 99.9% chance. No way we're the Chiefs going to move up from 27 to 2 for a QB with 13 starts under his belt. Silver was in Cleveland with the Browns and just said the Browns were not moving up for a QB.
I get it, the Bears wanted to be 100% sure they were getting their guy, but they panicked.....and took the Niners bait, no doubt.
