some of my proudest moments over the years of watching were games the Rams won when they had no reason to play hard.
Kinda like SJ playing sooo hard - every down - for teams that were out of it by mid-season.
Kinda in the spirit of the Alamo...
minus the war & death part! - where the thing that matters most is the HEART and maybe not the win!
We teach our kids to compete THAT way for a reason....and the reason is that it
matters.
However, to take a page from the past and...
"Suck for Luck"....is NOT the way I was taught to play/watch sports.
A man never lays down in competition for ANY REASON...it's like throwin a boxing match...it's not what we
do.
btw - Nuthin personal, RFIP..if I'm coming across that way, I don't mean to.
...it's not about what yer sayin...I do understand and agree with yer point about how simple twists of fate can have big consequences in the end. So True.
