I was a believer in Prescott and thought he would be a terrific NFL QB.
Not this soon, of course. And if the Rams had drafted him, he wouldn't have looked anything like he did with Dallas because he had an offensive minded coach, a heck of an oline, and awfully good weapons surrounding him. (Goff was on the opposite end of the spectrum).
I didn't like him because of the technical analysis, because I really don't have the knowledge to evaluate that way.
I just know what my eyes see; and I saw a really good leader; consistent, mature, in charge, good arm, mobile in the pocket, accurate enough, made good decisions.
I did NOT want the Rams to deal all those picks away for Goff (and it wasn't that I thought Goff was a bad choice and in fact as non-optimistic as I have been for the Rams in general, I think Goff has a Matt Ryan ceiling with a Bradford floor). I wanted the Rams to spend a 2nd round pick on Prescott and use those other picks wisely.
