But every team has some success like this from time to time and Easley did pretty well and the Pats let him go, so not sure why it's *nuts* to think they could have made a mistake.

It's nuts to believe adding a castoff actually fixed a problem and you can move your focus to another position in the draft, especially when you have the worst OL in the NFL. Sure, it MAY workout that a castoff hits paydirt, but more often than not it doesn't. Usually, you are right back where you started next year telling yourself you got it right this time.
