So what. Not seeing the point. U are big on sites being fan blogs. Some fans know more than "insiders".
Well to me "insiders" don't matter, it;s analysts. Either way, you can like fan blogs if you want (I personally would rather read well-informed posters, same thing with less hype). BUT the key point is this. What I said was that it's a kind of myth
that opposing defenses said all year that the Rams offense was easy to read. The fan blog in question doesn't address that.
Another point I made is that we fans overdo the "predictability" thing. I consider execution far more important as an issue. For example, I doubt anyone would describe the Seattle offense as "creatively unpredictable." One of the complaints about them throwing at the end of the superbowl, and getting the INT, is that they could have run Lynch on the Patz even if the Patz expected it. Another complaint is that Butler made that play because BB had them practicing against it because he knew it was something Seattle could do in the redzone. Yet there's predictable old Seattle in its 2nd superbowl. They had some players and they could execute.
I don't personally care if some fans think the future Rams offense is "creative." If it's a choice I would rather they just be seen as effective. Heck for that matter with McVay's 2016 Washington offense. They threw the majority of the time out of 3 WR sets and they ran the majority of the time out of multiple TE sets. That means the defense would know those percentages and tendencies. But they had some players and they executed. Didn't matter if some critics thought they were "predictable." They were effective.
The point is (agree or not) .... I'm saying that's not really the issue.
All that got mistaken in this thread as a defense of Boras. I was already saying
during the season that the Rams offense did decently well in the 1st quarter in terms of scoring and then completely tanked in the 2nd through 4th quarters. To me that seems to indicate that the playcaller was not very good at adjusting to what defenses did to adjust to him. He was fine drawing it up during the week, but when defenses adjusted he was not good on his feet in game situations.
