but whatever..youre right. it was an imaginative and unpredictable offense. the only things holding boras back was inexperience, the la move, and the players.
Yes that's a fan blog. Look again. Yahoo publishes them but that's what they are. They have one for every team.
In terms of your claim about what I am saying, .....funny, I just posted this:

Now the way that gets misread is that somehow people take it to mean that the Rams offense was UNpredictable. No. It just means that unless you know offensive assignments, fans have no clue whether or not a defense simply read the offense correctly several plays in a row, or if the offense just simply did not execute.
Then saying THAT somehow gets taken as saying Boras was a good coordinator. Clearly he was not ready---and the proof of that is the fact that while the offenses on average did decently in the 1st quarter, it could not adjust to the defense adjusting to it. To me that seems to say that Boras was not good at in-game adjustments and thinking on his feet in game situations.
Ph, you're not debating what I am actually saying.
Here's a fuller version:
I have always found that "they're precdictable" is a fan mantra that is supposed to cover everything when an offense is poor and the team has been losing.
To me, it seldom if ever really means anything. For one thing several strong offenses are NOT noted for being UNpredictable (Seattle for example). So that's an over-rated issue.
I think the REAL issue is just simply execution.I just don't think that using unproveable fan mantras like "they were predictable" means anything, really. It' s just a kind of catch-all complaint.
To me the issue is always execution. In terms of being predictable, look at Washington's offense last year. They ran a higher percentage of the time out of multiple TE sets, and if they were in 3 WR sets, they were going to pass. The stats back that and it was just plain obvious. BUT although defenses had to know that, they still did not manage to stop them that much. So I think the entire "predictable" issue is just one of those things people say. I don't think it stands up well to close scrutiny.
Which again does not mean the 2016 offense was a bunch of superstars. It clearly had problems. Lots of them. It doesn't reduce to one problem. Some of their problems started off the field, in fact.
