This feels like "New Age" football.
Picking a Millennial for your next HC in La La Land seems like a politically/socially trendy thing to do. Or is it that the guys they really wanted didn't want the Rams?
Being a baby-genius or whatever doesn't impress me. He is too young and hasn't lived long enough to pick up the nuances of dealing with the things he's going to be dealing with as a HC.
The 20 something and 30 something CEOs of big Tech companies are in those positions usually because they started the companies. Not because they were hired to be CEOs because of their track record.
Being a leader of men, a great strategist, a motivator, and setting out a vision is what is important in the NFL. Someone whose presence elicits a little fear (think you don't sweat when called into Bellicheck's office?).
Naturally I hope that I'm totally wrong.This team is in desperate need of strong leadership and a disciplinarian. I fear we've gone from a guy who wanted to be the team Daddy, to a guy who wants to be the team Buddy.
I certainly wish him the best and will root for him to do something that has never been done before. Be a successful 30 year old NFL HC.
