How long have the Rams been looking for a new HC?

They Rams announced that Fisher was fired on Dec 12, so you'd think they would have been putting together a plan for a new HC for at least a month now.

A lot of groundwork should have been done before this week. I find it hard to believe that they don't have it boiled down to 2 or 3 guys.
