Re: On Snead...

Les Snead was the catalyst for drafting a lot of the players, especially on offense.

Moving up to draft a perceived game breaking wr in the first round.

Ever seen that move before? In Atlanta possibly?

There is a lot out in the public if you're good at putting pieces together.

Jeff Fisher doesn't have the time nor the inclination to sit and grind tape. He's not travelling around the country year round scouting players.

He's relying on his scouting department and his GM to scout the players.

Fisher says we need to get more explosive on offense.

Snead says look at this kid from WVU, he can score from anywhere on the field.

Fisher looks at him on tape, sees his workout and says yeah...let's go get him.

Wr coach says well he doesn't have the best hands and hasn't run a full route tree.

Fisher says that's ok we can coach him up and figure out how to use him.

So Snead does whats necessary to move up and get him.

Square peg in a round hole.

On Havenstein we like players that come from solid programs with lots of experience at the position.

That was essential the allure of most of the guys they drafted on the oline.

But who are you, what is your identity?

You gotta plug a player in that fits your identity.

IF you don't have an identity, you can't properly evaluate the required pieces.

Yeah, the fact that zero offensive players have been hits while many of the D players have been is near proof to me that the coaching is the issue.

I guess I missed on properly evaluating that statement.
