I know most are beyond upset about not having a first rounder ... but I can work with 37 and 69 and get players.
The glaring issue I see is Free Agency.
We have needs that can't be addressed by the draft (OT) and 4 other major needs with only 2 picks in the top 70. We may get lucky and score on both picks and another pick in the third, but it still leaves us "light" by one player.
WR, CB, DE, C.
Grabbing a WR like Robert Woods and bringing him home to the Coliseum would ease that drafting burden.
The DE and CB talent at 37 and 69 are high end starters. I already have my lists and it's just a deep high end year at both spots.
The question is ... can we wait till the 4th for a center ?
Never was a huge Woods fan, but he could really thrive in LA and would bet anything he would come, not only to be home, but he would have a great opportunity to see a good amount of targets.
Any FA money available for Matt Kalil? Put him at left tackle and move Robinson inside at guard.
Seems like I`m saying this every year, but the Rams have a horrible OL and need to fix that ASAP. Whatever it takes. Have to protect your big QB investment and have to open up some holes for your RB. OL is so important and its been so many years since the Rams have had a very good one.
I too would target a LT and WR in free agency.
But Robert Woods? Kenny Britt was better on a horrible offense. I'd rather resign him.
I'd like to see them go after Pryor or Jeffrey.
And no on Matt Kalil. He is horrible.
There are not many good LT options in free agency but I'll throw out two names.
Whitworth - yeah he's old but still very effective. Any interest?
Riley Reiff - He's average but still an upgrade on GRob. He won't break the bank.
A better option may be to give Saffold the job again and pick up a OG in free agency.
