I think it's too late to bring in a great 'football minded' GM for the purpose of making the decision of choosing 'the best' head coach available. By the time they got their GM, the best coaching candidate will probably be off the market.

IMO, time is critical. Our best hope now, is that (quietly/behind the scenes) Kroenke & Demoff already have a deal in place with a solid 'football minded' GM to replace Snead. And that, THAT GM already has his top 3 potential head coaches picked out. And that this would be announced Monday. Kroenke would have started working on this the moment he knew he was going to fire Fisher. Even before the actual firing. Unfortunately, this is most likely not the case, and just some wishful thinking on my part.

No. What is more likely happening is that Kroenke & Demoff see themselves as good football minds. They will bungle forward making football decisions for which neither are qualified to make.

Sorry, I'm just not very optimistic at this time. Once the decisions are actually made, I will probably need the Herd more than ever to..... talk me off the ledge.
