THAT'S what football is. It's domination from the other team...and if you can stop them from scoring...DO IT!
I want all offense to run up the score as much as they can and chellenge the opposition to stand up or lie down.
I love that part of this game. We couldn't stop them...again this year...and they took it to us.
We'll do the
same to other teams when our team rises up again. Martz would do it all the time...and it was grand!
You want the offense to stop scoring? Them STOP THEM!!! Don't hope for the mercy rule...cuz it ain't coming in the NFL..
and I say thank gawd for that!
btw - I have to say....I'll miss Fassel and GW after teh house cleaning....I think they did better than most think cuz they had no offense for years and played kept us in games. Also, I hate this transitional part...cuz I don't know if the new regime(DC) will use the players on defense the same way as GW new them. It takes time, ya know to get a feel for the guys. I think GW and Fassel should be kept and bring in a new OC-oriented HC that will give us an identity on offense. We ALREADY have an identity on defense & STs. imo
Now?....it'll
all be gone in 3 weeks....and who knows how long it will take to
get the players for the new system and
times it takes for the coaches to get a feel for the players they DO have. 1-2yrs, at least. imo
So, patience will rule supreme no matter who they hire, fellas....so gear up!!
Patience will be the watch word for 2017/2108.
And yeah, I wish Fisher was still here....we had 2/3s of the solution....
bird in hand vs 2 in the bush - kinda thing.
I'll miss the cohesive part of Fisher....but
he just didn't make the strides on Offense that he needed to...and his firing is on him.
Now, the
Baby & the Bathwater have been flushed somewhere into the Pacific!
I still don't know of a legitimate HC hire that will get folks excited. Truly, I do not.
Maybe a guy like Martz for OC....but I'm horribly biased. My dream is to have Fisher
(HC), GW
(DC) an Martz
(OC) and Fassel
(STs).
But it was
not to be....lol
