I wonder what the endgame is here.
There is no way the Rams want to keep ED alienated. And I'm not sure they can patch things up with him as long as Fisher is the HC. He did say he's not coming back as long as Fisher is HC, and I doubt he changes his mind on that after he was so vocal about it.
This is a huge PR nightmare for Demoff. ED said he thinks Demoff was behind the Fisher phone call. What a mess they created for themselves.
I do think it's possible that Fisher is back next year, but I'm trying to figure out how that will work. If the Rams continue to stink it up next year, they will be in a totally indefensible position.
If they are intent on bringing Fisher back, the Rams certainly by now understand the wrath of the fan base currently but I'm not 100 percent certain they understand it.
If they understand the fans are angry I think they understand they have to show the fans they are earnest about winning and the biggest eye sore is the offense. Which leads me to believe that a name offensive coordinator will be brought in and handed the offense with no interference from Fisher. Much like Martz was forced on DV.
I do believe Snead could be let go and a new GM and/or personnel man could be brought in to handle the draft and player development with no input from Fisher or shall we say Fisher will not have the last word on who is drafted.
The Rams can see that of the players drafted by the Rams on offense that there is not one pro bowl / all-pro. This is why I think there may be a change in GM and player personnel.
