Yeah, ED is a bit of a diva. But he's a diva that's also beloved by the Ram fan base AND he has a big microphone. Plus immediate access to TV outlets, not to mention today's social media.
Such a person needed to be handled with kid gloves.
Fisher made the call, but maybe it was a FO supported decision to make that call. I dunno. What I DO know is that it was unbelievably stupid. Especially considering the disappointing season this year.
No way that the Rams come out winning this PR fiasco, now.
Best they get in front of it by apologizing to ED and the fans. I mean, some world class groveling.
It may even require that Fisher be the sacrificial lamb and be terminated 5 games sooner than already planned.
