Gotta admit Harbaugh is probably a no-go

I have a simpler list.

1) Decide whether to promote or fire Snead based upon Demoff's knowledge of Snead's input into various picks, trades, and FA moves vs those of Fisher. In any case, the GM should be given full authority on player personnel matters.

2) The GM, together with Demoff, should hire a new HC. Preferably one that has already demonstrated HC competence. Could be a Harbaugh, but could be an exceedingly successful college HC with a tremendous winning track record. Saban, Meyer, Peterson come to mind. Please, no dinosaur retreads such as Martz, Coughlin, Mike Shanahan, etc. Only fresh new up and comers if they're gonna pull from the NFL ranks, please. BTW, I'm leery of hiring an existing OC that would want to call the plays while carrying the title of HC.

3) Stand back and let the GM bring in the talent and let the new HC change the atmosphere and demand results from his new asst coaches and all of his players, both old and new.

4) Prepare for full attendance at games and start printing playoff tickets. Lol.

I'd have a blank check or thereabouts ready for Harbaugh to get him to LA, and he'd probably need final say on personnel too tbh. But with his loyalty to his alma mater and the fact he hasn't been there that long I gotta admit it's a severe longshot. He'd be where the search starts, though.

Saban is probably a similar type deal, where he's not going to want to come in and work under a GM unless it's someone he knows and trusts. Which is probably a very small list. So as much as I like the idea of bringing in a GM first followed by a big name hire and all that, I don't know that Stan will follow the GM>coach blueprint.

I just wish the guy would start cleaning house by early December. This is going to be a really important hire, and I don't want to see it fall behind the curve while other owners pounce first due to Stan ruminating on whether he wants to give Fish another season. Make that early call and let the coaches line up to fill the prestigious LA job, because that's exactly what will happen.

So, I think it is safe to say we can look to the draft and offseason

If Kroenke and Demoff were as smart as you we'd be in much better shape...

What makes you think Demoff stays?
