To simple to just lay it at QB. You make it seem like all things are equal at the top and player for player. OL is not great. Running game is not effective. A great QB will help that but but short of declaring every play call and game plan as good enough and then blaming the QB for failing to execute them you are essentially rubber stamping every coach we have had as good enough to win with and that the problem has been the QBs.

I would be surprised if that were really the case.

First, those prior seasons were because the Rams lost one starting qb to injuries and another to a meltdown. They also had extensive OL injuries mixed in there. Tell me about all the other teams that did well in spite of starting 7 qbs in 5 years. Do you even think that is possible?

THIS SEASON, all they ever needed was a starting caliber qb, and then all the complaints people have get reduced or put in perspective.

Let's say they can get 21 points a game with Goff, and not just 21 points in a half. That gives them 3 more wins right there (Giants, Carolina, Miami) which puts them at 7-4 at this point.

And with those wins you can add all the complaints you want about discipline, the OL, and so on...it's still 3 more wins. My guess is there would be fewer complaints both because the team would press less in tight games with small margins of error, AND fans would not be in angry-we-lost, who's-to-blame mode

Heck even Tavon looks more like a receiver with Goff. And there's very real and very good reasons for that. .

If you can't see the difference between what Goff showed today (at least until they had to pass from deep behind in the 2nd half) and all the qbs who have played since Bradford, then, we are not watching the same game and possibly not even the same sport.

And THAT was only in his 2nd start.
