It is, and was, and always was, just the qb.
When the qb is fine they will be fine and we will not be having these exchanges about what the “cause” is. I really believe that. I would be surprised if this theory turned out to be wrong.
Was it "just the QB" today against the Saints in your opinion?
From where I am sitting, it seemed more like a completely demoralized team (particulalry the defense) getting repeatedly walked over - and playing uninspired, worn-out football.
Is that not what you saw? Were they "fine" today - except for the QB?
The QB - Jared Goff - actually looked solid to me. I thought it was a very respectable, promising game for a rookie. And in no way was he the weak spot on the team, IMO.
So...I have to strongly disagree with your "it's just the QB" theory.
And I think we can also now put to rest the recently discussed notion that Fisher's Rams do not have a history of collapsing.
My view? It's about coaching. It's
always been about coaching. Very, very bad - and predictable - coaching. Jeff Fisher coaching.
The QB changed. The coaches didn't.
Same result.
No surprises here.
But hey - maybe we should extend him!
