The Robinson pick stands out as the killer for me. If you don't take a player, somebody who touches the ball or rushes the QB, you better hit and hit big. We have a bottom tier starter for a #2 in the draft.
And that ripple effect means dummying down the offense and crippling the development of the entire offensive team. The bad offense does not put the defense in the position to rush the opposing QB.
The snowball effect of Robinson is completely under estimated. It is much more than his league leading penalties, blocking the wrong guy, giving up pressures. it is all of what I stated above.
