I would as well. But he's going to attract attention as a FA for teams that have bad backup QB situations. Would not be surprised to see him get a 2 year/$8M deal somewhere. And in the Rams case, given free agents like Johnson, McDonald, Britt, Zuerlein, etc. do you consider paying that or hand Mannion the #2 job (at $730k)?

I do think Mannion can handle being the backup. And if he is it makes using the 89th pick in the 2015 Draft on him look better...
