A player comes in with X ability from college....that is a fact.......the NFL coaches are there to take them from X to the next level.....That is a fact......I look at this team and I see this staff using TA as he was in college, but just adding more touches to him....what has that done?
I look at Todd....his plays come from big holes and he hit's them big time....but guess what the holes ain't there.....so do the coaches bring him to level 2 and say if it ain't there bounce it out? No he just hit's a stuffed hole....
Let's look at the O-Line....Haverstein looked like an up and comer...he is now just a body.....Name anyone on the line who has added to their natural ability......no one is the answer...the middle of the line is so weak it's a joke.....
Let's go to the WR group...we pick and we pick and they all have taken way too long to be major pieces....
Let's go to QB....we draft Sam and he goes elsewhere...we pick this or that and what have they done?.....IMO it can't be that we have great coaches and we are picking bad people....if we had good coaches why would they not choose good players?
IMO this team is poor in 1 major area.....coaches....players seem to come and go....coaches seem to stay...and we end up the same way.....
Sam's injuries have handicapped their offenses growth... He was a top ten QB in 2013 before the injury, this team has been searching ever since for that. I think with better QB play this whole team would look better. Kenny Britt is the 7th rated WR on that list...is he getting better coaching??? Or just making plays??? I'm not trying to let these coaches off the hook at all, they could all do better, but laying it on the coaches feet is scapegoating the players and their poor performances...they don't coach Lance Kendricks to drop that easy TD last week, that's all on the player IMO. And that's just one small example of players simply not making plays that could change wins to loses.hopefully someday soon this team will actually have a franchise QB and a real OC to help cover some of the warts this team has...
