They had to pick their poison, and they chose to take Gurley out of the equation.
They would prefer to take their chances vs Keenum and force him to beat them with the pass.
The result is that the Rams are so far out of their wheelhouse now that their O is hard to recognize. Gurley only getting 13-15 carries and Keenum passing 45-50 times in games that are within one score. Hardly what everybody expected before the season began. Our O coaching staff are being herded strategy wise like a rancher herds cattle.
And yet, it appears that that strategy is working. We've lost 4 games in a row, now. Close losses, to be sure. But still...
And there's no reason to believe that our opponents will get away from a winning strategy.
The solution? Either the Rams find a way to increase scoring via run and pass, or they die.
I don't think we can get that done behind Keenum. Do you?
