It's the Big Apple.
Kroenke loves the Big Apple and he said so when he was talking about the move to LA. It's a huge stage for him and a chance to audition Goff. I think ESK will put a lot of pressure on Fisher to get Goff on the field against the Jets who are probably gonna start their kid QB, Bryce Petty, after trying everyone else on their roster. If Goff plays well in NY and the Rams win, then Kroenke will get the buzz he wants. If Fisher starts Keenum again, the NFL will continue their disinterest in the Rams, regardless of what happens.
Kroenke is a patient man, but it's hard to believe that Kroenke would be tolerant of Fisher's results at this point. He invested a lot in this team, or as he said back in 2012, "I put a lot of jack in, but haven't gotten a lot of jack out."
ESK is on record of saying that Goff is his guy, he said he made sure he sat next to Goff at dinner to size him up then ESK said all those superlative things about Goff. ESK may have been behind the whole trade, nobody here knows for sure, even though Keyshawn is adamant that Kroenke was the one who wanted it, not Fisher.
I think if Goff doesn't play in NY, then there is a bigger problem than we know. That's just not about Goff that's about the coaching staff as well. And all that Fisher talk about being very happy with Goff's progress is total BS, just like his 7-9 records.
