While there can be genuine debate in the HC's ability in this day and age I honestly believe that he Snead, Demoff, and Kroenke are all on the same page when it comes to CK and Goff. And I think they are right! There simply is way too much of an investment in the future to risk Goff losing his mojo behind this O line. And that is a real possibility no matter how talented a qb is. Once you repeatedly get hit you will begin to hear steps and it will take a long time -if ever-to get over the anxiety. And yes the O line is really THAT bad! And that is also why we don't see the same tailback we saw a year ago. Until we have turned the corner re the O line we are simply stuck and to risk the franchise qb and his future is not the brightest thing to do. These guys coming at the qb are all big, ugly, smelly, and they use foul language.
There is NO question that they all agree on what to do, and how to do it. And they think that's the smartest way. So fans who are gnashing their teeth about Goff not starting yet are wasting time and bandwidth. Especially since Fisher said he wasn't going to rush him, there is no timetable and he will play when they feel like he will play well.
It's like a friend texting you that they are coming over after work and you respond "OK see you later". Then when they show up you are surprised and become angry about it.
Fisher told us this was how it was going to go..........but rage on to those who want to rage on. I'm at the point where I'm enjoying watching people flip out over it.
