If I had to guess-and it would be a guess-I would say Fisher wanted to use most of the choices to do what was necessary to free up Gurley-meaning the O line. He knew that there were plenty of good qbs in the draft that could be taken with any of the choices at there respective slots. That would not shock me in the least. But he is a good soldier if nothing else and that is something we will never know unless one's first name is Keyshawn.
I think he may have traded down and gotten even more picks. Then looked at a WR & pass catching TE (Hunter Henry) early. CB MacKenzie Alexander with one of those 2nd rounder`s. Maybe a QB such as Cook or Prescott in rounds 3 or 4. It would be interesting to know what his preferences were.
