When people say things like all teams have injuries, or something like that, it seems that they're thinking in the abstract. Truth is, if you take a vital unit and cripple it with multiple injuries, it will have an effect. It's one thing to have 3 injuries up and down the roster. It's another to take out 3/4ths of your secondary or DL or whatever.
Yes it makes a difference.
It's a testimony to the Rams depth that they managed to tighten up in the 2nd half with a line consisting of 6 back-ups and Donald. That's unusual. Heck 3 injuries would have had an effect on the old Fearsome Foursome defense. It was never going to be the Fearsome Last Guy Standing Plus Ten Friends.
